In 2014 after leaving the jamiat Ml. Hassen sahib did not intend to start a madrasah. Ml had already made mashwera with Ml. Abdul Hamid sahib and the decision was made to return to Darul Uloom Azaadville.
With 3 to 4 months left for the Darul Uloom’s academic year to end ml decided to use this time to rest and prepare himself for his return to Azaadville. However Allah’s plan for Ml. was completely different.
Ml did not begin to enjoy his rest when 3 students approached ml and pleaded with ml to continue teaching them. However ml made it clear to them that he was returning to Azaadville but they insisted and Ml not having the heart to refuse them told them that he will assist them till Ramadhan and thereafter they need to enroll in another madrasah.
This was the beginning of Allah’s plan being set into motion to take greater khidmat from ml. In the same week 3 students were brought to ml requesting ml to teach them and again ml told them of his intention to return to Azaadville Darul Uloom and as with the previous students ml offered to assist them till Ramadhan and thereafter they were to enroll in madrasah. Ml was already teaching the first 3 students the 4th yr kitaabs and these students were starting 1st year. So ml called on Qari Abdurrahman ishaq and Ml zakariyya Adam to assist in teaching these students and without second thought they accepted and started teaching.
Within a few days more students joined the 4th year class bringing the total number of students to 10.
With the influx of students and the many requests of starting a madrasah from local brothers and ulema, Ml decided to make mashwara again with ML Abdul Hamid sahib regarding starting a darul uloom in Robertsham. Alhamdulillah ML Abdul Hamid sahib was very happy and encouraged Ml to start the madrasah.
The madrasah started and the name Madrasatus Saadiqeen was chosen for the boys at this time and later Madrasatus Saadiqaat was chosen for the girls. Ml. chose this name with the following ayat of the Quraan e karrim in mind, O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.
With sole intention of our students to follow in the footsteps of our pious predecessors who were from the saadiqeen.
In 3 weeks, the current space for the madrasah was not sufficient, and through the mercy of Allah Yunus bhai bhamjee, may Allah grant him the best in both worlds for his generosity, approached ml and offered him the use of the Crown Gardens Musallah. Alhamdulillah the madrasah continued here for 3 years until the end of 2016.
In 2015, the role of the madrasah increased to 31 with a 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, 5th year and a hifz class.
In this year, ml also started the girl’s madrasah, May Allah reward Siddique bhai kathri the best in this world and the hereafter for offering his house on Xavier Street to be used for the girl’s madrasah. The madrasah started with a total of 9 students for the 1st year class.
The madrasah continued at the Musallah until the end of 2016. During the year, 2016 new premises were sought and through Allah’s grace and mercy, a local businessman who had purchased a building in the Robertsham commercial area offered one whole floor to be used for the Darul uloom.
May Allah continue to shower his blessings upon Baboo bhai Karrim for given us these premises, as this was large enough to accommodate the boys and girls madrasahs. Alhamdulillah with funds coming in from both local and abroad the madrasah was completed by the end of 2016 and we were able to host our first Bukhari jalsa here.
Alhamdulillah since 2017 the madrasah started at these premises on 33 kindon rd Robetsham. By the end of 2020 the girls madrasah had to be moved out due to their section becoming too small and at the same time more space was needed for the boys. Since 2021 the entire premises is being used as the boy’s madrasah.
Alhamdulillah the total role of the madrasah is currently 160 students. 123 Aalim students and 37 Hifz students.
We make Duaa to Allah to keep us steadfast and take us from strength to strength. May Allah grant the best of rewards to all our brothers and sisters in Islam who have open their hearts out and donated generously towards the Darul uloom especially the community of Robertsham.
